Sue Westin Human Portraits Procedure
The portrait procedure begins with a meeting either at one's
home or my studio. We will discuss ideas for the basic composition,
size, possible settings, choices for clothing, props, lighting,
backgrounds and budget.

|One or more photo
sessions will occur after which I will analyze the photographs
and then discuss them with the client to help determine a choice
of composition. There will be a fee for the photo session. That
fee will is absorbed into the total cost of the portrait. Usually
I will make a rough sketch to clarify the basic ideas and composition.
At that point we will determine the final size, cost and payment
plan for the portrait and both parties will sign a contract.
The initial down-payment to begin the painting is usually one
third, unless otherwise agreed.
